Cement mortar lined anti-corrosion steel pipe is a steel pipe with a cement mortar lining formed on its inner wall. The lining is applied either by centrifugal casting, in which the pipe is rotated to distribute the mortar evenly, or by a pipe lining sprayer.
The cement lining separates the conveyed water from the steel wall and creates an alkaline environment that inhibits corrosion. It is mainly used to extend the service life of water supply pipes, protect water quality and improve the hydraulic capacity of the pipeline. The outer wall can be combined with an external anti-corrosion coating as required.
Key features
- Cement mortar inner lining applied centrifugally or by spraying
- Longer service life of water supply pipelines
- Protects water quality by preventing rust from entering the water
- Improved water delivery capacity thanks to a smooth, stable inner surface
- Combines the strength of steel with the durability of a cement lining
Application areas
- Municipal water supply and transmission lines
- Raw water and treated water pipelines
- Water treatment plants and pumping stations
- Industrial water and cooling water systems
